Before we get to the nitty-gritty of offerings, if you choose to work with me, I do require a sample edit of 1,500 words for dev and line edits to ensure that your writing style and my editing process align.
This can be known as structural editing, substantive editing, or content editing. Whatever you want to call it, this focuses on the overall structure, content and flow of a manuscript.
Line editing is often used interchangeably with the term copyediting. In this case, it is the middleman between developmental editing and copyediting.
Line editing focuses on style, flow, and expression. Copy editing fine-tunes grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency. This package you get both.
A high-level analysis of your book, but with much less detail than a full dev edit. It assesses the strengths and weaknesses and provides feedback from an objective point of view.
Process-wise coaching can take all different paths, and I work differently with each client. This is a blocked-out hour to help you write your book: accountability, brainstorming, tips and tricks, and more.
Think of the book map as what’s made it onto the page of your manuscript. It’s your one-stop shop destination for worldbuilding, character development, and pacing.
